One swine flu death in Chandigarh, six new cases
December 9th, 2009 - 10:57 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Chandigarh, Dec 9 (IANS) One more death due to swine flu was reported in this union territory Wednesday, taking the toll from influenza A (H1N1) here to 25, a health official said.
“The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Surinder Kaur, a resident of Ropar town in Punjab. She was admitted here to the PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) in serious condition,” said G.C. Bansal, a health official.
This is the seventh death reported from the contagious virus in this city in the last three days.
“Besides six new patients, including a PGIMER doctor, tested positive for swine flu today (Wednesday). Yesterday (Tuesday), seven patients tested positive,” he said.
