Now senior citizens’ clubs in all Haryana cities (Lead)
May 27th, 2010 - 3:18 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, May 27 (IANS) Haryana will establish senior citizens’ clubs in all cities across the state to take care of the elderly.
Announcing this at Panchkula town near here Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that annual financial assistance of Rs.500,000 would be given to each of the senior citizens’ clubs.
Hooda said that day-care centres and old age homes would also be set up in villages. In the first phase, 1,000 such homes would be set up this year.
