North Korea develops new liver cancer injection
March 4th, 2011 - 5:37 pm ICT by IANSPyongyang, March 4 (IANS) North Korea has developed a new injection for liver cancer, the efficiency of which is as high as 90 percent, a media report said Friday.
The official KCNA news agency reported that the Injectio Gallium-66 Microsphere developed by the North Korean Academy of Medical Science is applicable to liver cancer smaller than five centimetres.
A cycle of the medicine administration is 20 days and the maximum number of cycles is five, Xinhua said.
Some 50 patients have been given the injection till now.
