No shortage of platelets in Delhi hospitals
September 6th, 2010 - 8:29 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS) The Delhi government Monday assured there was no shortage of platelets in its hospitals across the city in the wake of rise in dengue cases, which have reached a figure of 1,370 so far.
With the vector-borne disease spreading across the capital following massive construction here for the Commonwealth Games and incessant rains, Health Minister Kiran Walia told reporters that regular meetings and supervision are on to keep dengue under control.
Walia said there are nearly two government hospitals in all nine districts and “there is no shortage of platelets in any of them”.
She urged people not to fear due to spurt in cases of dengue.
