New York City to declare state of emergency due to swine flu outbreak
October 30th, 2009 - 4:45 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )NEW YORK CITY (BNO NEWS) — New York City will declare a state of emergency to implement new resources to combat the spread of swine flu, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Thursday afternoon.
The announcement came hours after New York Governor Paterson declared a state of emergency for the state. President Obama also declared a national state of emergency over the virus.
