New York, Aug 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Scientists believe that they now have more questions about the link between a mouse virus and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
In a recent study, scientists say that they studied the blood samples of people suffering from CFS and they found that about 87 percent of the patients also had the virus that causes leukemia.
But scientists say that only 6.8 percent of healthy patients had the virus that caused leukemia in mouse. The scientists also insist that they have not carried out study on enough patients to come to any conclusion.
CFS currently has no treatment or approved cure and the disease is a complex illness whose cause is not currently known but scientists are fighting very hard to make sure they get enough information about the illness. Though scientists still do not know about treatments, the recent studies have given the scientists hope that they can depend on drugs like the antiretroviral drugs that are used to treat AIDS.
Scientists have been investigating the possible link between (Murine Leukemia Virus) MLV and CFS since last year. During the study, MLV was found in the blood samples of more than 67 percent of people suffering from CFS and that sparked the investigation into the possible link between the two conditions.
