Mar 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Heart diseases claim the lives of numerous people each year and it is quite disappointing to know that a large number of pharmacies are selling unapproved heart pills. According to the reports, the officials of the Food And Drugs organization has found that a large number of the nitroglycerin tablets that were sold last year to several patients were not approved for the selling purpose. Therefore, patients, who had used those pills might not have received any benefit from them.
It is quite shocking to know that many pharmacies had sold heart pills, which was neither tested for effectiveness nor for safety. The news that pharmacies have sold unapproved drugs had not only raised the eyebrows of patients but also came as a real shock for the doctors, who had prescribed those pills to their patients. When they came to know that many patients have received unapproved pills, they anticipated that those people might have suffered unnecessarily for consuming the same.
According to the reports, several doctors in the United States had prescribed over four million nitroglycerin tablets to patients last year to save their lives. However, reports indicate that most of the patients had received unapproved pills and that might have increased their suffering. It has been reported that the nitroglycerin tablets are used for checking chest pains or for stopping heart attacks and unapproved pills can be fatal for the patients, even resulting to their death. Reports indicated that two pharmacies had received FDA’s warning to stop the business of unapproved heart drugs. However, unapproved drugs are still sold in the market.
