New York, June 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mead Johnson’s “Enfagrow Premium” which happens to be a drink for toddlers is in the center of discussion as parents recently claimed that the chief ingredients of the drink, sugar and milk can make their children grow obese.
Reportedly, the nutritionists have analyzed that the toddlers’ drink has violated the health claims that were earlier made by Mead Johnson.
In reaction to what the nutritionists have said the company told the media that “Enfagrow Premium” contains only those ingredients which accounts for the right development of a child’s brain and offers him growth, immunity and strength which are all vital factors for any toddler.
Owing to the fact that the extra sugar and milk has been the subject of concern for both the parents as well as the nutritionists, the company has pulled off the chocolate flavor from the market.
However it was said that the company shall still continue to sell the vanilla-flavored Enfagrow. In reaction to the string of criticisms hurled at the company for its chocolate flavored Enfagrow Premium the company officials said that they are concerned more about a child’s health than any other thing.
On Wednesday, the company released an official statement which said that the company believes that there has been some “misunderstanding” and “mischaracterization”of the toddler’s drink.
It has brought bad name to the reputation of the company which stands on vague grounds. The company made it clear that it shall still continue to sell the vanilla-flavored Enfagrow, which has only 16 to 17 grams of sugar as one of the ingredients.
Along with that there are only three unflavored versions which has only 10 to 11 grams of sugar that serves well as a nutritional supplement.
