medMay 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The McNeil Product recall for the year 2010 has been announced. With it starts the panic and anxiety of probably every mother around the world. The fact that mothers worldwide are scared about the medicines prescribed to their children is not unknown. Most parents are skeptical about the side effects that may be a part of their child’s medicines. In the McNeil Product recall 2010 the medicines which have been most highly affected are Tylenol, Tylenol Plus, Benadryl, Zyrtec, and Motrin. However there is hardly any reason to worry because no reports have been received of any child dying or even falling sick after consuming these medicines.

Then why have these medicines made it to the list of McNeil Product recall this year? The answer to this question is that these medicines have failed to fulfill certain quality standards that drugs used by children have to abide by. This is especially in the case of Tylenol products which have failed to meet quality standards even in the month of January when another such review was released. Certain products of the company are now under the watchful eyes of the FDA after it had come to light that most of the Tylenol medicines were either too high on active ingredients or had fillers in them.

In a statement after the recall was announced McNeil Products said that although no complaints have been received so far, parents have been directed to speak to doctors before giving their children any of the Tynenol medicines and should put an end to the further doses of the Tynenol products.
