Austin, Jun 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Texas girl - Lizzie Velaquez is 21 years old and she suffers from a serious condition, in which she needs to eat every 15 minutes in order to stay alive.
The doctors have analyzed her and they have ruled out the De Barsy syndrome, as she doesn’t suffer from any learning difficulties at all. They now think that she suffers from the Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome. The main symptoms of this disorder, is that it causes accelerated aging, fat loss from the face and body and tissue degeneration. She is also the main subject of a genetic study, which is being conducted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre in Dallas.
Despite that fact that Lizzie consumes 60 meals in a day, yet she is unable to put on weight and she has never weighed more than 60 pounds in her life. She hogs around 5000 and 8000 calories in a day, but still she is unable to put on any weight at all.
When she was born, then the doctors were shocked, because there was hardly any amniotic fluid that was nourishing her in the womb. She was also born one month premature.
