Mar 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘Kids in Danger’ is a non-profit organization that deals with children’s product safety. They have released their new report and are calling it the “Year of the Nursery Recalls.” This is the first time that nursery product recalls for items such as clothing, cribs, strollers, highchairs, and such was at the top of the list. Up until now the list has been mostly made up of toys.

Evenflo and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is issuing a recall on over a hundred and fifty thousand wooden gates which customers place at the top of staircases to keep the children from falling down the stairs. The reason for the recall is that the wooden slats can break or come loose.

The company “Big W” has had to recall dozens of sleepwear outfits because they were found to be selling highly flammable clothing and labeling it as “low fire danger.”

Graco Children’s Products made an announcement on Thursday recalling 1.2 million of their Harmony high chairs due to the fact that the chairs may not be stable. They also released a consumer warning about their stair gate as well.

Other items in the list include Scooby Doo, Tweety, and Batman fork and spoon sets which are sold at Dollar Tree. Several bracelet and pacifiers clips are also in the recalls. For a complete list see here.
