Jan 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The astounding win of the Republicans in Massachusetts has affected the political bigwigs of USA in a major way. The Democrat Senator of Virginia, Jim Webb, is talking with the Senate Leaders and urging them not to cast votes for the health care legislation of the Democrats for some time. He wants them to wait till Scott Brown, the Republican candidate is sworn into his office. Jim Webb has already congratulated Scott Brown for his victory and he has also asked the Democrats to take the election results seriously and consider their next moves.
Jim Webb has also said that the results of the election should make the Democrats rethink about implementing government policies. He thinks that the party members should try their level best to restore the faith of the residents of the nation. In fact some of the Democrat leaders have already indicated that they do not want to proceed with the health care reform before Scott Brown gets sworn in. The political experts now think that some of the Democrats who supported the bill earlier may become skeptical about it.
Jim Webb visited the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center and talked with the military service members in Norfolk’s Joint Forces Staff College. He spoke to a crowd of almost 400 faculty, staff and students at the college. He assured the crowd during the conversation that the upcoming healthcare reform will not hamper veterans’ health care programs and Tricare. His visit to the VAMC gave him the scope to discuss with the patients about the quality of healthcare services. He heard their complaints and assured of improved services.
