white-houseNov. 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In spite of being a much debated issue, the health care reform bill has ultimately gained support in the United States House of Representatives. According to the reports of the sources, the long awaited health care vote had taken place on Saturday and the health care reform bill, gaining approval from the majority, proceeded one step forward to become a law.

The Health Care Bill, on Saturday, not only received the support of the Democrats but was also backed by one Republican member of the House. Democrats have the majority in the House and the bill could be passed only with their support. However, the approval of the Republican member has been a significant achievement. Though the health care bill has been backed with 220-215 votes, it will have to move through many stages before it is accepted as a law in the country.

Even though the Health Care Bill gained approval in the House of Representatives, it will have to pass a tough test in the Senate. Once accepted in the Senate, the proposed health care bill will cross most of the hurdles in its way to become a law. Senator Harry Reid, the leader of the Majority, in his statement declared, “We realize the strong will for reform that exists, and we are energized that we stand closer than ever to reforming our broken health insurance system.” The Health Care Bill will pass through different stages in this week and people of the United States will have to wait for few more days to know the fate of this bill.
