Homeopathic drug may prevent swine flu
July 10th, 2010 - 5:52 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 10 (IANS) Homeopathic medicines have been suggested to prevent swine flu by the The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy.
At a meeting called by the department of AYUSH (Ayur Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), methods for prevention of flu like illness was taken up by the members.
“The experts suggested that homeopathic medicine ‘Arsenicum album’ could be taken as preventive medicine against flu like illnesses including swine flu,” a health ministry official said.
The doctors recommended Arsenicum album 30 - four pills of size 30 for adults and two pills for children a day - on empty stomach for three days. The dose should be repeated after one month, in case flu like conditions prevail in the area.
