Healthy Purple potatoes developed

The purple potatoes contain antioxidant, anthocyanins, which are 10 times more than white potatoes. The purple potatoes are traditionally grown at Colorado University by scientists. However, purple potatoes grown by producers Albert Bartlett are not genetically modified.
Today you can find variety of potatoes in supermarkets they are grown on the Andes and come in deep red and purple color. After continuous efforts and trials it was observed that purple potatoes can also be grown in Scotland.
And soon you will find these purple majestic potatoes on sale in Sainsbury stores across Scotland. With larger yield next year, all of the England can taste the flavor of the purple majestic potatoes.
Research took place at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh to know the exact health benefits of the purple potatoes. Dr Catherine Tsang observed that purple potatoes contain a natural pigment called anthocyanins that has a positive effect on blood vessels, which is missing in white potatoes. She said that, “It’s this pigment that gives the potato the purple appearance, but more importantly, it possesses antioxidant properties, which are maintained even after cooking.”
