dutchMar 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 42-year-old man had decided that he would be dismissing the nurse who had been appointed to take care of him after she refused to comply to his perversions and gratify his sexual desires. The move led to a nationwide campaign, organized by the Nurses Union of Holland, demanding that no patient should be asking them for sexual services. The campaign, called “I Draw The Line Here,” stresses that health care services in no way means the inclusion of sexual services, and that refusal to comply to a patient’s demands should not be considered a valid ground for dismissal.

According to the reports provide by the nurse in concern, she had been asked to provide sexual gratification by her physically disabled patient, and when she refused to comply, he had deemed that she be dismissed of her services. Apparently the patient had cited examples of other nurse who had treated him before, saying that they had not rejected his offer. When the nurse brought a complaint against him, he had stated that he had dismissed her because she was not doing what her profession demanded her to do.

This kind of requests, although totally despicable and dirty, not to mention unethical, are not unusual., Incidents like this have happened in the past and continue to the present day. As per the reports of the organization which has started the campaign “I Draw The Line Here,” NU ‘91, the campaign has been aimed at recognizing the rights of the nurses and their lack of desire to go along with the perverted requests of their patients, stressing that sexual services do not form part of the profession they follow.
