Government employee dies of swine flu in Tamil Nadu
September 10th, 2010 - 6:26 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Sep 10 (IANS) A 39-year-old person died of swine flu at the Government General Hospital here Friday.
Hospital dean J. Mohanasundaram told reporters Mohanavelu was earlier suffering from fever and cough, and underwent treatment at a private hospital.
An assistant public relations officer at the state secretariat, Mohanavelu was treated for viral infection for ten days and was discharged. However, his condition turned worse and he was again admitted to the same hospital. Later he was found to be infected with swine flu.
Mohanasundaram said the patient was shifted to the Government General Hospital in a critical condition.
Four people, suffering from swine flu, were undergoing treatment in the hospital, he said.
