Girl Scout cookie - ‘Lemon Chalet Creme’ being recalled

Louisville, Feb 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Lemon Chalet Crème’ flavor of the Girl Scout Cookie is in for a recall. It is being said that the cookies aren’t a health hazard at all, but are being recalled, because of taste and smell issues. In all 15 lots are going to be replaced. The recalled cookies were made at Little Brownie Bakers in Shively, Ky., and affected cookies were distributed only from the Louisville Berger warehouse.

It is also being reported that the Girl Scout service centers in Bowling Green, Paducah and Owensboro are not believed to have received any of the recalled cookies. “These lots contain oils that may be breaking down, which can result in the off taste and smell,” Don Davis, vice president and general manager of Little Brownie Bakers, said in a release. He also clarified that no other variety of the cookies is affected in the recall.

Consumers can complain about their Lemon Chalet Crème cookies, if it has an off taste and smell, at 1-800-962-1718 or they can contact Little Brownie Bakers at littlebrowniebakers@gmail.com.

The affected batches of the cookies have the following lot codes, located on the bottom of each cookie box, and on the brown cases: 7455881, 7455882, 7455883, 7456741, 7456742, 7456743, 7457661, 7457662, 7457663, 7458521, 7458522, 7458523, 7459401, 7459402 and 7459403.
