Frozen Vegetables Recalled For Containing Glass Pieces

frozen-vegetablesOct 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This is a real matter of concern, as once again it highlights the fatal callousness of certain food manufacturing companies. Some frozen food has reportedly been recalled from a few stores, after it was anticipated that they contain glass pieces.

The food department suspected that certain frozen and packaged food products, containing small pieces of glass has been delivered to the stores across United States and South East. It has been reported that all Walmart Stores in the United States and Kroger stores in the South East, had to recall these packaged frozen vegetables.

CNN reported that the affected vegetables mostly include 12-ounce Green Peas, with UPC 11110 89736 with production code of 1440BU, 1440BV, 1440BW, 1600BD, and Kroger 12-ounce Peas and Carrots, UPC 11110 89741, with the Production Codes of 1960BD and 1960BE are the one that has been accused of impurity. Other products include Great Value 12-ounce Steamable Sweet Peas, UPC 78742 08369 and Great Value 12-ounce Steamable Mixed Vegetables, UPC 78742 08026. All these packaged vegetables were otherwise fresh, with an expiry date of July 20 2012, July 21 2012 and July 15 2012 respectively.

All the packs that were there is the stores have been recalled so far. However, any customer who has bought the packs having the above mentioned codes, has been requested to return them to the stores for full refund. So far, no one has been reported of injury due to the consumption of these frozen vegetables. That is why, the food department is spreading the alarm like wildfire, so that every person gets aware of it and avoid cooking or consuming these particular packaged food.
