Recall 046-2010Georgia, July 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2010 has turned out to be a year of recalls. After the numerous cars and medicines taken of the stores, frozen chicken nuggets have joined the recall bandwagon. Georgia based Perdue Farms is recalling more than 91000 pounds of chicken nuggets as the United States Department of Agriculture has confirmed. The company is recalling the nuggets as some packets have been found to contain plastic inside the nuggets. The company will be recalling the 1 pound bag of nuggets labeled GREAT VALUE Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets as it has announced.

The chicken nuggets bags that are under this recall can be identified by a code number P-33944. The bags were packed in the second week of June this year and they were dispatched to Wal Mart. The company received some complaints from the buyers and after a brief investigation found small plastic pieces in the meat pieces. Luckily no one has complained of any illness after buying the packets. In case anyone has eaten these nuggets they should get in touch with a doctor.

Perdue has asked the buyers not to eat the nuggets that are being recalled. WalMart sells its products all over the USA so chances are there that the packets have reached in various states of the USA by now. The company has asked the concerned buyers to get in touch with its customer care representatives to know more about this recall. The good thing is that the company got to know about the problem at an early stage otherwise things could take a wrong turn including legal repercussions and monetary compensation.
