Four swine flu deaths in Delhi, toll 64
December 24th, 2009 - 10:01 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS) At least four people died of swine flu Thursday taking the total number of casualties in the capital to 64, health authorities said.
While two died in the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, one died in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and the fourth fatality was at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
“The total toll in Delhi is now 64,” Anjana Prakash, deputy nodal officer in charge of swine flu in Delhi, told IANS. However, details of the deaths are yet to come.
The city also reported 137 fresh cases of which 59 were children. “With this the total cases of infection across the city has reached 8,888,” Prakash added.
