Four new swine flu cases in West Bengal
August 7th, 2010 - 7:55 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Aug 7 (IANS) Four more people tested positive for swine flu in West Bengal Saturday, taking the number of confirmed cases of the contagious disease to 118 in the state this year, a health department official said.
“Four confirmed cases of swine flu were reported today (Saturday). The total confirmed cases of H1N1 infection are now 118 in the state,” Asit Biswas, nodal officer, Swine Flu, told IANS.
Four people have already died of swine flu this year in the state.
In 2009, a total of 135 people were affected by swine flu in the state. However, there were no casualties.
