Fentanyl Lollipop Can Cause Addiction

Dec. 01, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One more painkiller drug has been named in the list of drugs which can cause addiction and this time it is in the form of a lollipop! Earlier several prescription medicines were found to cause addiction among people and the latest reports reports stated that Fentanyl lollipop can also cause addiction among people. The narcotic painkiller appears like lollipop and is prescribed to cancer patients. Medical practitioners prescribed these drugs so that patients could get immediate relief from their pains but now they might restrict this drug as it can cause addiction.
According to the reports of the sources, some people have already started to distribute Fentanyl lollipops illegally. These illegal drugs uses the nickname, “perc-a-pop” and has become popular among a large number of people for its sweet taste. Though the price of the illegal drugs is double than the original drugs, number of people getting addicted to this drug is increasing. Not only people are using “perc-a-pop” but also some people who have been addicted to this drug have stolen them from medical centers, stated sources.
Fenatyl drug has been in the market for a considerable period of time and has helped many cancer patients to get relief from intense pains. Illegal selling of this drug has surprised many people. Official sources of Stacey Backhardt said misuse of any drug can cause adverse effect and that is true with this drug too. The spokesperson added,” there has not been a substantial diversion of this product in the state or elsewhere”. Therefore, the cancer patients who seriously need this drug need not be worried as there is no report of prohibiting the sale of these drugs.
