June 21st, 2010 - 1:55 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington DC, Jun 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers against the usage of an instant coffee product which is being sold as an aphrodisiac. The FDA warns its consumers that the product is very dangerous, as it could lower the blood pressure, which could be very dangerous for the person who imbibed the coffee product.
The product is question is known as the ‘Magic Power Coffee’ and it is said to mix with some prescription drugs and thus lower the blood pressure very much. And this could in turn prove very risky for the person, because a sudden drop in blood pressure could deprive the brain of the adequate blood supply, which it critically needs. And when the brain is suddenly deprived of blood, then the person could experience dizziness or lightheadedness.
Even though the Magic Power Coffee is quite a dangerous product, yet it is being sold as ‘all natural dietary supplement.’ It is being sold on numerous websites through many distributors.
The FDA has candidly admitted that so far, they aren’t aware of any causalities because of this product. However if anyone experiences any problems, then they can report it to FDA’s MedWatch program at 800-FDA-1088.
