Eyelash Enhancer Latisse Might Cure Baldness

Jan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For those of you who are troubled by the problem of hair loss, might very soon get some relief from Allergan. The company’s popular eyelash enhancing serum Latisse will soon be tested for curing baldness. According to reports, Allergan is planning to test the drug on 28 patients combining both male and females who suffer from the problem of chronic hairfall.
Reportedly, drug manufacturing giant Allergan has already started hiring volunteers who are willing to undergo the test. The recruitment of the volunteers is expected to get completed by the next month. Latisse or bimatoprost ophthalmic solution is a commonly prescribed drug by the doctors for glaucoma patients. Over the last two years, Latisse has shown effective results helping patients to get a thick growth of long dark eyelashes. Latisse has received a huge success ever since it hit the markets from 2008, when the makers of the drug got an approval from the Food and Drug Administration. It has been reported that some doctors have even referred Latisse to their patients as a remedy for curing baldness.
The volunteers on whom Allergan will be conducting the clinical tests will comprise of men who have moderate male-pattern baldness and women who suffer from moderate female-pattern hair loss. If the results of the test comes out to be successful and wins the Food and Drug Administration’s approval then Allergan will be launching the Latisse medicine in the form of a cream that would have to be rubbed on the scalp. Although the website for Latisse lists out the common side effects but many have claimed to have received positive results without any kind of side effect.
