Delhi swine flu toll 60, total infections 8,751
December 23rd, 2009 - 9:13 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 23 (IANS) At least three swine flu deaths were confirmed Wednesday, taking the the total casualties in the city to 60, health authorities said, adding that 125 new infections were also reported through the day, taking the total to 8,751.
Though there were no fresh deaths during the day, three confirmations took the cumulative figure to 60. Details of these deaths are not yet known.
“There were also 125 new infections in the city. Of these, 58 were children,” a health ministry official told IANS.
The official said that with these fresh cases, the capital has so far reported 8,751 cases including 5,050 children.
