Christine Dougherty claims that she shed 54 pounds due to Taco Bell Drive Thru Diet

New York, Dec 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Taco Bell Drive Thru Diet has a new spokesperson in the form of Christine Dougherty, who claims that she lost an astonishing 54 pounds because of this diet. She divulged that she choose low-calorie options from the menu, and those meals which consisted of 1250 calories. Though she is quick to add that she also choose the right ingredients too, from the menu. With her success story, Taco Bell is jumping in and saying that it is quite possible to shed excess weight by eating what they want in recommended combination.
The “Drive-Thru Diet” promotes Taco Bell’s “Fresco” menu, where the tacos and burritos have around 20 to 100 fewer calories than their regular menu counterparts. And the fat content is also reduced. Items on the diet menu - Fresco menu are topped with a “fiesta salsa” of diced tomatoes, onions, and cilantro instead of the iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and sour cream found on their regular menu counterparts.
However Taco Bell adds a good disclaimer that exercise also needs to be part of the program and the menu items are not low calorie foods, even though the Web site and ad campaign are clearly designed and camouflaged to give the viewer with the impression that one can achieve significant weight loss simply by simply consuming Taco Bell’s reduced-calorie, lower-fat food options.
