The China state news organization, Xinhua said that quality control department from the Qinghai province took some samples and the results have been shocking to say the least. The test samples manifest a terrible scene; the milk powder carried almost 500 times more Melamine than the affirmed and allowed level.

In the year 2008, the melamine milk killed six babies and had made 300,000 sick. The most current batch of this polluted powder was found in the Gansu province; later it was traced back to the Dairy factory in Dongyuan. The factory is located in the Minhe Country, in adjacent Qinghai.

The state employed media and food safety experts recently announced that the detained polluted powder most probably was produced in 2008 or the previous year. It was then stockpiled and was distributed instead of being destroyed. This is what caused the babies to fall sick and succumb. The Chinese government later ordered several such milk products to be destroyed and discarded; but they did this after 300,000 babies fell sick and died after consuming the fatal milk powder. The government sadly didn’t undertake the entire operation by itself.

According to Dr. Peter Ben Embarek, it’s very important to keep a record of the contaminated amount from 2008 so that it can be disposed off safely. He incidentally is a senior scientist who is associated with WHO. Since the children’s lives are at stake, the Chinese government must make haste and carefully dispose the damaged goods.
