Campbell Soup recalls SpaghettiOs meatballs

025 Washington DC, Jun 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Campbell Soup has issued a recall for SpaghettiOs with meatballs, as the company fears that the product might not have been fully cooked.

According to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service the recall is going to affect around 15 million pounds cans. The recalled products were made between December 2008 and June 2010, and they have the ‘best before’ dates of June 2010 to December 2011. These dates are inscribed at the bottom of the cans.

According to reports the cans, which form the recall, weigh 14.75 ounces. The cans, which are labeled with SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, and also have the product code “U5″ on the bottom, are being recalled. The cans, which are labeled with SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs and have the code “4N” on the bottom, are also being recalled. The cans, which are labeled with SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars) and have the product code “KS” on the bottom are also being recalled by the company.

The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has said to the consumers, that if they possess any such recalled cans, then they ought to return it to the retailer, from where they bought it in the first place, in order to get a refund.
