Boy dies of food poisoning in Bihar
October 19th, 2009 - 2:59 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Patna, Oct 19 (IANS) A minor boy died and 10 other children were hospitalised after they consumed ‘prasad’ (religious offerings) in a Bihar village, police said Monday.
The children consumed prasad at a function Sunday to mark the inauguration of the village council building in Banoli village of Bhojpur district, about 60 km from state capital Patna.
Majority of the children complained of giddiness and stomach pain.
“A minor boy died after being admitted to the Sadar hospital. Ten other children are undergoing treatment for food poisoning,” a police officer said.
The district administration has ordered a probe into the incident.
