Bangladesh PM’s ailing husband leaves for Singapore

Dhaka, March 23 (IANS) Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s nuclear scientist husband M. Wajed Miah, who has been suffering from kidney and cardiac related complications, left for Singapore Monday for treatment.
The ailing scientist will be admitted to Singapore General and Heart Centre.
A Singapore Airlines flight carrying Wajed Miah took off from Zia International Airport at 12.05 a.m. Monday, Star Online said.
Hasina visited her husband at the city’s Square Hospital last evening, said hospital sources.
The couple has a son Joy Sajib and daughter Putul, who live in the US.
