New York, Jan 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to a report at coloradoconnection.com, a New York-based company Nuture, Inc has issued a voluntary recall of selected varieties of baby food meals. The reason behind the recall is defective packaging, which is causing the pouches to swell and even leak the contents. And this can cause bacterial contamination. There has been no report of illness so far from the consumers. But the company isn’t taking any risks and has given the call for the recall.
The recalled products are the HAPPYTOT Stage 4 food meals and HAPPYBABY Stage 1 and Stage 2 pouch meals, which come in 4.22 oz. pouches with plastic caps. The recalled products are said to be the pouches with expiration dates between November 2010 and January 2011.
The New York based company has issued a recall for some baby foods and has mentioned that the leak in the packets was because of some manufacturing problem. They have also mentioned the names of the varieties that are considered to be unsafe for consumption. It has been reported that parents should not use any variety of HAPPYTOT Stage 4. The baby food recall also included some varieties of HAPPYBABY stage one and two. Therefore, parents should purchase them only after the company declares them safe. Someone who has already purchased them is also advised to stop using them.
