The Viagra like product got a 21 second commercial airtime and managed to get the people of the country up in arms, forcing the network to withdraw the ad immediately. Several viewers called in with the threats and the criticism of the ad as soon as it was aired for the first time. Considering the sensitivity of the ad, and the network on which it aired, the Saudi Arabian audience was seen extremely perturbed by the frankness with which it dealt with a problem like impotency.

In the commercial a well dressed Saudi man is seen coming home to his wife and children. He then asks his wife how the kids are and then gets into a private conversation with his spouse. The wife tells him that the kids have done their chores and asks him to not forget to do his. She calls mentions his name during the conversation. The couple then slip away cheekily from the children. The slogan for Snafi is ‘it does the job’ and at the end of the commercial the product promises ‘36 hours of stiffness’.

The state run television network that aired the commercial is known for its family oriented shows. The complain of the audience was that there are ‘boundaries’ that the commercial crossed by departing from the values of the network. Several bloggers in America have found the news to be amusing as such a commercial in the country would not even raise an eyebrow.
