86 more dengue cases in Delhi
September 22nd, 2010 - 8:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) The national capital reported 86 more cases of dengue Wednesday, taking the total number of people infected with the vector-borne disease to 2,536, an official said.
Of the total patients, 2,513 were from Delhi while 23 were from outside the city, said an official of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The mosquito-borne disease has claimed five lives in the city this year, of which one was from outside Delhi.
According to the MCD, the number of dengue cases this year will cross the 2006 figure of 3,366 cases.
