79 more dengue cases in Delhi
October 21st, 2010 - 7:44 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) A total of 79 more cases of dengue were confirmed in Delhi Thursday, taking to 4,826 the number of those infected with the vector-borne disease, officials said.
A total of eight people have died due to the disease in Delhi this year. City areas like Rohini and Civil Lines continue to be the worst-affected with around 1,200 combined cases reported from there.
According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, 1,153 dengue cases and three deaths were reported in 2009, 1,312 cases and two deaths in 2008, 548 cases and one death in 2007, and 3,366 cases and 36 deaths in 2006.
