Nov.30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Delaney Starcher is a much searched name on the internet lately. This is an attempt to make a large number of people aware of the tragic story of this young girl. Delaney is a 5 year old girl who is suffering from a deadly form of cancer. Her name is being searched on the internet so that people come to know about the heart wrenching story of this little girl and at the same time provide support so that she can receive the necessary treatment.
Delaney Starcher was diagnosed with the deadly disease this year on October 29. Since then, her family and her friends have tried to gather support for the treatment of the girl. At the same time, someone in her family posted an article on the website caringbridge.org, urging people to pray for her speedy recovery as well as asking them to provide financial help in the form of donations.
The young girl suffers from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, which is a form of cancer that is located in the brain of the girl. The survival rate in this disease is very low and supposedly a patient can survive with the cancer for only a period of few months. However, in Delaney’s case the cancer cannot be removed with the help of a surgery as it would lead to further complications. Reportedly, the size and the location of the cancerous tumor is critical as it is interlocked with brain cells- due to which the possibility of a surgery has been ruled out. This form of tumor is more prevalent in children and in United States about 300 children suffer from the deadly disease.
