35 more infected with swine flu in Delhi
August 26th, 2010 - 9:48 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS) As many as 35 more confirmed cases of swine flu, including of four children, were reported from the capital, taking the total number of infected people to 728, an official said Thursday.
No death from swine flu was reported Thursday, but 35 more confirmed cases have come up in Delhi, Debashish Bhattacharya, nodal officer for swine flu, told IANS.
“Of the 24 deaths so far, 16 were from the city while the rest were from outside Delhi,” Bhattacharya added.
The union health ministry has proposed to the states and union territories to make the vaccination mandatory, if required.
However, health ministry officials are maintaining that the situation is under control and the government is fully prepared to handle the situation.
