32 more infected with swine flu in Delhi
August 19th, 2010 - 9:01 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS) The national capital reported 32 new confirmed cases of swine flu, including eight children, taking the total number of infected people to 461, an official said Thursday.
“Thirty-two confirmed cases of Influenza H1N1 were reported today (Thursday) from Delhi. But no deaths were reported,” Debashish Bhattacharya, nodal officer for swine flu, told IANS.
The Union Health Ministry has proposed to the states and the union territories to make the vaccination mandatory, if required.
However, health ministry officials are maintaining that the situation is under control and the government is fully prepared to handle the situation.
