28 more cases of dengue in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS) A total of 28 new cases of dengue surfaced in the capital Monday as the total number of vector-borne cases this season reached 6,176, an official said.

According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), eight people have succumbed to the disease this year in the city.

Shahdara (north) zone in east Delhi continues to be the most affected, with 859 cases so far, followed by Rohini zone with 781 cases, the official said.

Of the total cases, 38 patients are from outside the city, the official added.
