wert Washington DC, May 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In yet another recall, 1 million GE coffee makers are going to be recalled by the company. There have been so many complaints about the coffee makers that the company was forced to announce a recall. These coffee makers were sold exclusively through the Wal-Mart retail stores. Perhaps Wal-Mart has sheer bad luck, as during the last few weeks they have been involved in one recall after another. The other notable Wal-Mart recalls in the recent times were for jewelry, which has very high levels of cadmium.

However in the case of coffee makers, the problem is that they can over-heat, which can further lead to numerous problems such as excessive smoke, which can in turn set off the fire alarms. And the excess heat can even lead to fires and injuries to the users. There are reports that in some cases, the coffee maker has overheated so badly, that it caught fire and even burned down completely. In all there were 83 complaints against the product.

In all two models of the coffee maker are part of the recall and they are 169164 (black color) and 169165(white color). The coffee makers were made in China.
