December 21st, 2010 - 8:19 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, Dec 21 (IANS) A 25-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district Tuesday cut his tongue for abusing and hurting his friend, police said.Anand, who has been admitted to a hospital, left a letter at the Sai Baba Temple in Dewas, around 160 km from here, saying: “I have abused my friend that hurt him very much so I am cutting my tongue.”
However, it is not clear from the letter, which is written in Hindi, whether the friend in question is a girl or a boy.
“Initially, we are accepting the theory of a boy but there could be some other matter involved in it,” said Superintendent of Police Sunderpal Singh.
Some police officers hinted that the incident could be the outcome of a love affair.
