Widow of master story teller Thakazhi passes away
June 1st, 2011 - 4:08 pm ICT by IANSThiruvalla (Kerala), June 1 (IANS) Karthi, widow of Jnanpith award winning writer late Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai passed away Wednesday at a private hospital here.
The 91-year-old Karthi had been suffering from ill-health and memory loss.
The date of her funeral, to be held at their home town, near Thakazhi in Alappuzha district is yet to be fixed.
Malayalam writer Thakazhi passed away in 1999 at the age of 86.
