UAE’s RCA distributes sacrificial animals in Syria
November 7th, 2011 - 10:16 pm ICT by IANSDamascus, Nov 7 (IANS/WAM) The Red Crescent Authority (RCA), in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Damascus, distributed sacrificial animals here on Eid-ul-Zuha Monday.
UAE’s leading charity organisation, the RCA’s programme this year includes provision of sacrificial animals to charity organisations to distribute them among needy Syrian families. Sacrificial animals were also given to the Palestinian refugees.
Jassim Salim Al Tuniaji, Charge d’ Affaires at UAE Embassy in Damascus, commended the role being played by the UAE humanitarian organisations in reviving the norms and values of the religious occasions, as well as extension of assistance to those in need across the Arab and Muslim countries, to boost sense of solidarity.
