UAE to assist Tunisia’s deaf and dumb
March 30th, 2011 - 11:18 pm ICT by IANSDubai, March 30 (IANS/WAM) A United Arab Emirates (UAE) charity has offered assistance to a Tunisian institution for the deaf and dumb.
The Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation has provided the Ben Gardane Deaf and Dumb Society in Tunisia with furniture and other equipment as part of an assistance programme to support special schools at the Tunisia-Libya border.
Abdul Hamid Al Tarabulsi, chairman of the Ben Gardane Deaf and Dumb Society, said the organisation was in desperate need of such help, and thanked the UAE charity for its assistance and generosity.
