UAE aid vessel arrives in Karachi
December 14th, 2010 - 12:02 am ICT by IANSKarachi, Dec 13 (IANS/WAM) An aid ship with 600 tonnes of relief material from a UAE charity for the flood affected people in Pakistan has arrived at the Karachi port, it was announced Monday. The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has sent food, medical supplies, household items and various winter clothing, including blankets, worth over one million dirhams.
It is being sent as a part of a humanitarian programme of the RCA in Pakistan.
The items will be distributed by RCA in coordination with the Pakistani Red Crescent Society in Sindh province.
