It has been found that cancer is the No. 1 cause of death in the United States and many other countries might face the same problem. Standup2cancer.org is a new launch non-profit program that hopes to bring national attention to the importance of cancer research, spurring research to the next level and finding a cure for cancer.

effort is reaching out to millions people in USA Friday night on major TV networks like ABC, NBC and CBS., with the hope of raising $150 million that will be distributed to collaborative “dream teams” on the brink of finding a cure, administered by the American Association for Cancer Research or AACR the oldest and largest national scientific organization in the world focusing on every aspect of high-quality, innovative cancer research.

More than 60 celebrities participated in Stand Up to Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org) such as Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Jack Black, Sheryl Crow, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Garner, Diane Keaton, Rob Lowe, Sharon Osbourne, Keanu Reeves and Carrie Underwood. Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige and Rihanna are among a group of singers participated last night with hope to benefit cancer research.
