Soon, spray to treat premature ejaculation
August 8th, 2010 - 3:28 pm ICT by ANILondon, Aug 8 (ANI): An investigational new drug PSD502 has been found highly effective in treating primary premature ejaculation (PE).
The British-designed remedy can make afflicted men’s lovemaking last five times longer.
However, even with a five-fold increase, it’s only up to an average of three minutes, 18 seconds, reports News of the World.
The remedy is sprayed on the penis five minutes before sexual intercourse, with the ingredients lidocaine and prilocaine preventing over-sensitivity without causing numbness.
Two studies into the drug, known for now only as PSD502, involved 539 men from Europe, the USA and Canada - who had to use stopwatches to time their performances.
On average the men in the three-month study, who all suffered from the quick-trigger syndrome, lasted much longer.
Even those given a placebo spray - not containing the drug - also noted a 1.6-fold increase in staying power, upping their average to 56 seconds. Only three percent said the spray made them lose their erection. (ANI)
