January 2nd, 2010 - 5:15 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Washington, January 2 (ANI): Scientists are working on a special version of a robot that helps people with their shopping.
Experts at Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International are testing Robovie that along with associated system helps monitor your grandma’s health and even suggests specific dishes to improve health.
The three-foot-tall walking technology helps shoppers select items for purchase with the use of a special menu-driven device, communication with which is continued at the store, according to Live Science.
A video demonstration showed the child-sized robot carrying the shopping basket while accompanying a 67-year-old woman.
The robot later gives reminders to buy the needed items along with suggestions to include lettuce in the salad along with the broccoli that is already on the woman’s list. (ANI)
