Real Madrid praying for Ronaldo to go on ManU strike
June 7th, 2008 - 3:00 pm ICT by ANI - Send to a friend: London, June 7 (ANI): Real Madrid are hoping that Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo will go on strike at Manchester United to force the Old Trafford-based club to sell him off to the Spaniards.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon insists Ronaldo wants to move and has already agreed to a staggering 12-million-pound-a-year deal.
He told a close pal: Weve tied things up with the kid. The only thing that remains is for him to convince Manchester to sell.
The Spanish club is hoping that Ronaldo will convince United by staging a one-man strike before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Manchester United boss Ferguson has already said he would rather see Ronaldo rot in the reserves than go to their biggest rivals. (ANI)
