Now, a Fish n Flush tank for your lavatory!
March 20th, 2009 - 4:38 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) London, March 20 (ANI): Lavatory flush tanks can now hold fish too, thanks to a new type of fish tank.
Maker AquaOne has named its extraordinary mini tank The Fish n Flush.
The company claims that it is perfectly safe for both fresh and saltwater fish.
The firm even says that the tank can be emptied water, and used for small animals like turtles or lizards.
David Parrish, from AquaOne, said that the tank had been designed with fun in mind, and that reactions to the aquarium had been positive on the whole.
He, however, admitted facing some opposition from people concerned about using the loo in front of their pets.
“People have said they get freaked out by using the bathroom in front of the fish, the Telegraph quoted him as joking.
“I just tell them to lift the seat and use the lavatory like everyone else does.”
“Some animal rights activists have also taken issue with the type of aquarium we use.
“But once we explain that we hired one a marine biologist to help design the filtration system they are less concerned,” he added.
Given that the Fish n Flush aquarium is completely separate to the lavatory system, the water the in the lavatory and the aquarium never mix, and the fish are safely secured.
A tank costs around 299 pounds, and can be ordered from the company website. (ANI)
